Fresh Juicing for Healing: Dawn’s COVID Part 2 (Omicron edition)

I caught my second round of COVID for Christmas 2021. I have been in Quarantine since 2021, and will come out when the cough stops and the fever stays broken. My experience with SARS-COV2, versus Omicron was day and night.

With SARS-COV2, I had over 200 symptoms, 63 trips to the Emergency Room, 3 lifesaving 911 calls, 2 sepsis alerts. This version began serious with stroke symptoms, sudden diabetes, mind splitting migraines and breathing difficulty.

With Omicron I have less than 30 symptoms, none TOO severe. At the onset, of omicron, my pulse oxygen dropped to the low 80s. From Sars I learned my baseline wellness was 95 -98 and I felt sick at 94 and with SARS-COV2, 90 was the worse it got. I started with digestive issues, nausea, headache, breathing problems. Then migrated to fever, cough, loss of sense of smell and taste (never had that in SARS-COV2), shivering then roasted, petichiae and skin rushes of redness came again. I was feeling better by the end of week, except coughing, exhaustion and fevers.

Recently I got a juicer so I can make fresh juice that can get in my system and aid in healing and reestablishing my immune system.

Today’s symptoms:

Then today came. I felt awful all over, digestive problems, fever, coughing when I try to talk

  • Fevers
  • Nausea
  • Body Shivers
  • Headache
  • Full body aches particularly back aches
  • Extreme coughing that is not helped by medicine
  • Face flushing and petechiae patches on my skin

Today’s Juicing recipe

Today I focused on rest and hydration. When I was having chills, I drank Ginger Chai or Ginger Lemon tea with local honey. When I was warm I drank lemon water.

My Chai: Black tea, milk, spices, local honey. OR

Plain black tea with ginger, fresh lemon and local honey (Skip the milk)

This is the fresh juicing recipe I juiced together

  • A few carrots
  • Celery
  • Raw Ginger Root
  • Raw Turmeric Root
  • Blood Orange
  • Spearmint leaves
  • Mint Leaves
  • Apples

Blood Orange: helps improve iron and Vitamin C to aid in recovery and reduced stress on the body. Helps white blood cells and improves your immune system. Protects against strokes.

Mint and Spearmint: Improves digestion, Improves brain function, reduces cold related symptoms.

Apples: Lung and bronchial health, Asthma, heart health, improved brain health, improved immune system support and gut health.
