Mike’s legacy powerfully reminds us of the impact we can have on others and underscores the importance of connection, positivity, and resilience. Mike and I both rose in careers we loved, solving IT problems and driving innovation. The communities of best practice professionals are relatively small and share a passion for driving the industry. We connected on that path, especially in healthcare with Knowledge Centered Management for IT Service Excellence. Who would have known that my last interaction with GlideFast might be our final conversation? Yet, he and his team greatly contribute to IT Service Management best practices. Staying connected has always been crucial, and at the end of the day, what we do now and later becomes part of the joys of our industry.
Unsinkable Spirit: Remembering Michael Lombardo GlideFast CEO
His journey with cancer began on Thanksgiving 2019. Mike, tough as nails, continued working and raising funds for other cancer patients through the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, which provides support for cancer patients and their families. Mike’s thankful and unsinkable spirit drove him to make a difference. Just days before his passing, he shared a statement of freedom and a positive message, reflecting his enduring strength and positive outlook.
Bigger than “brand” is “heart”: Michael Lombardo embodied this. You know a leader by how people treat one another and how we connect and deliver. Glidefast leadership, with Michael at the helm was magic. To the team at Glidefast, we see you, we appreciate you, and we are with you in mourning the loss of “our” Mayor.
