Visual Test Plan Editor 8.2 New AutoTest Features
Get ready for a more powerful Visual Test Plan Editor! Based on your feedback, AutomatePro has implemented your highly requested updates:
Improved Navigation: Now, enjoy enhanced navigation searches that make it easier than ever to quickly find exactly what you need. With the added drag-and-drop capability from Actions, Checks, or Blocks, browsing becomes more intuitive and efficient.
Additionally, the improved search and filtering features allow for more precision by clearly highlighting the “column” you’re filtering from. You can seamlessly refine your results by Platform, Platform Module, Category, and Search, which significantly improves ease of use. This update streamlines your selection process, making it easier to drag and drop items directly into your test plans.
Streamlined Cloning Process

- Select Your Entity: Find the Test Block, Step, or Check you want to copy.
- Clone It: Right-click the entity and choose the “Clone” or “Copy” option.
- Paste: Navigate to the desired location, right-click, and select “Paste.”
- Modify as Needed: Click on the cloned entity to access its properties and make any adjustments.

Copy Test Check Accelerator
Introducing the new ‘Copy Test Check’ button! This feature simplifies incorporating existing Test Checks into your current Test Step, accelerating your workflow and minimizing redundancy in test creation.
Choose Your Editing Style
Experience the flexibility of two distinct editing options for your test plans. Whether you prefer the Hierarchical Editor or the Graphical Editor, both enhance your testing capabilities and offer the same powerful functionality.
Each editor type performs identical actions and uses the same test components. The choice comes down to user preference—whether you favor the structured, tree-like view of the Hierarchical Editor or the visual, flowchart-style interface of the Graphical Editor to edit your Test Plan components, such as:
- Test Checks: Automatically generated with Test Steps to validate that the action was successful. Additional validations can be added, and checks can be customized to ensure all necessary fields are correct.
- Test Blocks: Organize processes into smaller sections for easier testing. For instance, a Test Block called “Create Incident” might contain all the steps for incident creation. Blocks can also be made reusable, ensuring any changes affect all instances across Test Plans.
- Test Steps: These define the specific actions AutomatePro will perform within each block. Users can configure additional settings such as overrides, priority, and scripts for custom scenarios.
